Context & Origin:
Hibiscus tea was consumed in ancient Egypt for its cooling and anti-inflammatory properties. Cloves, used in Indian Ayurveda, contain eugenol, a natural pain reliever and anti-inflammatory agent.
Ingredients:
- 1 tablespoon of dried hibiscus petals
- 3 cloves
- 1 cup of hot water
- 1 teaspoon of honey (optional)
Instructions:
- Steep hibiscus and cloves in hot water for 10 minutes.
- Strain and add honey if desired.
