Chamomile & Lavender Tea – Ancient Egypt & Rome

Context & Origin:
Chamomile was revered by the Egyptians for its calming properties, and lavender was used by Romans in baths to ease stress and sadness.

Ingredients:

  • 1 teaspoon dried chamomile flowers
  • ½ teaspoon dried lavender buds
  • 1 cup boiling water
  • Honey or lemon to taste

Instructions:

  1. Steep chamomile and lavender in hot water for 10 minutes.
  2. Strain and sip slowly in the evening.
