Lavender & Oat Bath Soak – Ancient Greece & Traditional European Folk Medicine

Context & Origin:
Oats soothe the skin and the nervous system, while lavender calms the mind. Ancient Greeks and European folk healers used baths for emotional and physical healing.

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup rolled oats (in a cloth pouch or muslin bag)
  • ½ cup dried lavender
  • 1 cup Epsom salts

Instructions:

  1. Add all ingredients to warm bathwater.
  2. Soak for 20–30 minutes in a quiet environment.
