Lemon Balm Infusion – Medieval Europe

Context & Origin:
Lemon balm was considered a “joy herb” in medieval herbal medicine, used to ease melancholy and nervous tension.

Ingredients:

  • 1 tablespoon dried lemon balm leaves
  • 1 cup boiling water

Instructions:

  1. Steep leaves in boiling water for 10 minutes.
  2. Strain and enjoy up to 2–3 times a day.
