Willow Bark Tea – Traditional European Medicine

Context & Origin:
Willow bark has been used since ancient Egyptian, Greek, and European folk medicine times. It contains salicin, a natural precursor to aspirin, making it a powerful remedy for pain and inflammation.

Ingredients:

  • 1 tablespoon of dried willow bark (Salix alba)
  • 2 cups of water
  • 1 teaspoon of honey (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Boil water and add willow bark.
  2. Let it simmer for 10–15 minutes.
  3. Strain and drink up to twice a day.
